Explore outdoors with your Children

What a delightful time of year to explore outdoors with children! Plant something. Put seeds in the ground or in pots. Add cheerful color to your surroundings with floral bedding plants. Let your child or children dig in dirt or sand. Play with toy cars and empty cardboard boxes, sticks and things. Build cities in the dirt. Our children made many dirt towns and even turned themselves into mud monsters more than once over the years. They loved every minute of it. Fortunately, kids are washable. April Showers bring May Flowers

I am in Ohio and spent the holiday with family. The flowers are blooming everywhere as they have had above average temperatures for the past two weeks. However, we are supposed to have rain tonight and it reminded me of the old say “April showers bring May flowers”. My coach hat turns that comment into we need to nurture what we want to grow. Posture and Aging

I may be reveling my age, or that I watched to much TV as a kid, but I remember a commercial for hand lotion or dishwashing soap, that compared 2 sets of hands. The commercial asked the viewer to guess which hands were the older, trying to make the point that the product kept your skin looking young. Well certainly looking at someone’s hands is one way to guess their age, but I use a more obvious one – posture and movement. Think about the last time you noticed someone “walking like an old man”, or perhaps you thought that of your self, momentarily straightening your posture and then quickly falling back into the same bad habits. Wii Fit from Nintendo uses posture and balance to help determine your “age”. Click here for the full article.

Advertising in a Tough Economy

Often one of the first things businesses do in a financially tough economy is cut back on advertising. Studies show the businesses that reduces their marketing are at risk of being forgotten. Success in Business

The other day I had an unwanted guest show up in my house. It was a little grey mouse. It took a liking to my books. As I was sorting through my collection I found a book I read a number of years ago, "Practical Mysticism" by David Samuel. Click here for the full article.
